Planetaruim

Yesterday, at the planetarium we learned about the stars and the planets. The sun is just a giant star that has enough hydrogen to last us another 5 million years. Nuclear fusion is what makes the stars shine. Blue-white is the hottest star in the color scale.

Jupiter is next to the moon this month. The Scropion is a constellation out right now. So is Peguses, also Hercules is out Orion is in the wintermonths.

This is the story of Orion: Orion was a great hunter and warrior, but he bragged to much. The gods took offense and sent a giant scropion after him. The battle that followed was one of the greatest and biggest ever. Orion was killed and sent as a constellation into cold winter sky where it was cold and lonely. As a reward the scorpion was sent to the summer sky where it was nice and warm.

This is the story of the bear: Once a beautiful women got into some trouble so she asked her great king to help her escape these terrible troubles. The king granted her wish and transformed her into a bear. The hunters didn't know that the bear they were hunting was actually a young women. The lady went to her king and asked him to do something about her being hunted. The king grabbed her by her short tail and hurled into the night sky. There she stayed. Because the king had threw her so hard her tail was strechetd so it looked like a beaver. She soon got lonely and asked her king to send her son up to her. So the king summoned her son, and turned him into a bear , and grabbed him by his short tail and threw him into the night sky. Just like his mom,his tail was elongated. There they stayed mother and son for all eternity.

Several conastallations were named by the Greeks, The Romans, and the Egyptions. Their names still stay with us today.
